What are mockups?

Two ways to create the base: rendering or photography

The template for a mockup can be created in two ways, depending on whether your product already exists:

From a photorealistic 3D rendering. If the product only exists as CAD data or if you want full control over perspective and lighting, we build the base as a rendering. This works even long before the first prototype is manufactured.

From a photo of your manufactured product. If the product already exists, a clean product photo can serve as the foundation. We prepare it so that labels and inscriptions can be easily swapped out later.

In both cases, the result is the same: an editable template that shows your actual product, not a generic template from the internet.

The difference: your real product instead of a standard template

What we need to create a mockup

• CAD data (for example, STEP or IGES) or an existing 3D model if the basis is to be a rendering
• or a clean product photo, if we are starting from a manufactured product
• information on which areas should be interchangeable i.e., where labels, lettering, or screens will be placed later
• Details on material and surface finish as well as a sample design in vector format or high resolution
