Make products tangible with photorealistic 3D product visualization even before manufacturing.
Nón Lá
CGI for Prototype
08.06.2025

For the "Nón Lá" mobile bedside lamp, we developed a completely digital product world long before the first physical sample existed. High-resolution 3D product visualization and CGI renderings allowed designers, product management, and marketing to experience the lamp concept realistically, compare materials, and test lighting scenarios without producing a single physical prototype. This transformed a sketched idea into a visual experience that accelerates decisions and saves budgets.
Detailed 3D models allow for photorealistic exploration of various lamp variations, from the surface texture of recycled polypropylene to color schemes and different finishes, without the need for expensive physical samples. This not only reduces prototyping efforts for companies but also shifts parts of the development risk into the virtual world: adjustments are made directly in the 3D model instead of in the workshop. This saves time, material, and resources, and supports sustainable strategies in product development and communication.
Our CGI renderings showcase the "Nón Lá" in various use scenarios – as an atmospheric bedside lamp, a portable light object, and a mobile outdoor light source – making functionality, proportions, and operating logic visible early in the process. Even before engineering and tooling are finalized, design teams can compare variants, evaluate lighting moods, and gather stakeholder feedback based on a common, visually tangible reference point. This allows for earlier detection of design flaws, shortens iteration cycles, and provides better justification for decisions.
A significant added value of pre-production visualization also lies in content reusability. From the same 3D model, we generate key visuals for websites and online shops, mood renderings for social media, and detailed views that clearly and understandably showcase features like the detachable "lamp shade" or the integrated flashlight. This enables marketing and sales teams to prepare campaigns while the product is still in development – significantly shortening the go-to-market phase and ensuring consistent visual communication across all channels.
3D product visualization brings central product development questions to the forefront: How does the light appear, how does the form feel, how do we convey the idea behind the product in images that are immediately understood? By realistically visualizing products like the "Nón Lá" even before manufacturing, we create a robust decision-making basis for design, engineering, sales, and management. The result is fewer prototypes, lower production and shooting costs, and a consistent visual presence – from the initial idea to market launch.
