Photographing large machinery is a complex task, and concrete spraying systems operate in environments where photography quickly reaches its limits: in tunnels, on slopes, in construction pits, amidst dust, confined spaces, and challenging lighting. For Walter, we WSH 730 RD concrete spraying system therefore visualized entirely from the design data. The result is a series of hero shots that showcase the system as a whole, along with detailed views that reveal how the individual components are structured and how they interlock.
The unique aspect of this project lies in its scale. We processed the CAD data and optimized it for rendering, down to the cables, attachments, and control elements that make up such a system. What works for a small product works just as well for a machine several meters long with hundreds of individual parts: controlled lighting, clean surfaces, and complete freedom in choosing every perspective. The difference lies not in the result, but in the preparation of the data.
The result is an image package that can be used across all channels. The hero shots work in large format at trade fairs as well as in print and on the website. The isolated packshots can be used directly for data sheets, quotes, catalogs, and presentations without the need for subsequent retouching or background removal. Anyone who has designed a system no longer needs to wait until it is assembled, transported, and elaborately lit to showcase it convincingly.
